Olimpic - Danke
Every once in awhile I stubble across a band that I can't find much about. Olimpic, based out of Getxo Spain, is one of these bands. I have searched a few music sites and have been having trouble locating a place where I can listen to their album. When I find some more about them I will post it here.
Joshua James
Last September, Joshua James released his album Build Me This to good reviews. Recently, he posted this music video, of his song Weeds, to his site. Joshua, as usual, will be playing some shows around the Salt Lake City area, so you go check him out there if you wish.
Boat-Lately
Boat's track "Lately" feels nostalgic but is hard to pin down... which is great for a band out of Seattle. Not unlike the throwback feeling you get listening to an album by The Thermals. It's reminiscent of whatever you may have listened to in high school as you discovered you liked more than what's on the radio.
Yeasayer - Ambling Alp
Yeasayer is an experimental band based in Brooklyn, New York. The band members are Anand Wilder, Chris Keating, Ira Wolf Tuton, and Luke Fasano. They describe their music as "Middle Eastern-psych-snap-gospel".
Faded Paper Figures
Sometime last year, I was watching TV and happened to see this really cool Lexus commercial. I instantly began to search YouTube for the video but unfortunately couldn't find it anywhere. I really wanted to know who the band behind the song was, so I searched rigorously over the internet for the next couple of weeks.
TeenagersinTokyo
TeenagersinTokyo aren’t teenagers nor are they from Tokyo. They are four girls (plus a guy, he comes later) who met a decade ago on their first day of high school, and formed a band in Grade Seven art class.

New York based The Phenomenal Handclap Band shot this video over a few very hot summer weeks in and all over NYC. It is 8 mini movies made to become 1... Pretty Sweet, huh!?
The Dimes
I recently read The Dimes described as an old piece of peppermint candy you found in the pocket of a sweater that’s been hiding in the back of your closet. Initially you hesitate, but then you take a bite and suddenly your mouth is exploding with a cool, fresh, minty flavor that makes you feel like you just brushed your teeth.
